Hayk did a wonderful job for us -- he quickly found a truck that was available to pick up our car in New Hampshire and drop it off in San Diego. The trip was expected to take 7-8 days, but we received a phone call after just 4 days, saying our car was ready to be delivered! In the auto transport industry, planning ahead means reserving that 1-5 business day window wherein your broker will send a trucker to you. If you have a tight schedule or are planning to leave town, you can always ask a friend or family member to release/accept your vehicle for you. Because the pickup and delivery process is fairly short and simple, you won't be burdening them with much, but only 15-30 minutes of their day.
Don't pay more for auto transport
Telling a broker you have anything less than a 5 business day window to release your vehicle will likely increase your overall price without guaranteeing you your desired dates. Sure, some brokers may say they'll guarantee your car picked up on (that) day just so they can leave the conversation with your credit card number. But ultimately if there is no truck space available then you've just wasted your time and money.
