Hayk did a wonderful job for us -- he quickly found a truck that was available to pick up our car in New Hampshire and drop it off in San Diego. The trip was expected to take 7-8 days, but we received a phone call after just 4 days, saying our car was ready to be delivered! Almost all the car transport service providers you find online are brokers, meaning you're never going to be speaking with the truck driver or trucking company off the bat. A broker's full-time job is to market for the industry, whilst the carrier's full-time job is operating and maintaining their fleet. A relatively simple system is in place which makes it easy for brokers to communicate with carriers via an online database. There is only one database for the whole nation wherein brokers post their customers' vehicles to the carriers, and carriers alerted by the new post respond and request your vehicle from the broker.
I know what you're thinking, "I'll find the carrier myself and avoid paying the broker". I don't blame you as I'd try that myself if I was unaware of the industry. Even if your broker offered twice the regular amount for your route, it doesn't guarantee that there is a carrier available that day to pick up your vehicle. On the other hand, offering carriers less than the fair amount for any given route ensures that your car will be sitting a long time before any carrier calls for it, if ever.
